The musical high point on the stage, which was much applauded, was the live performance given by an ensemble from the Vienna Philharmonic.

As an unexpected finale, there was one further special surprise for Franz Welser-Möst: the Gmeiner-Wagner family presented the General Music Director designate of the Vienna State Opera with cufflinks made of 18 carat white gold with the emblem of the Vienna State Opera, and wished Franz Welser-Möst all the best for his new role.
