The Longines Master Collection - Annual Calendar

As a traditional watchmaking company, Longines has been producing exceptional timepieces since the very beginning. The Longines Master Collection is the perfect contemporary illustration of this concept, as demonstrated by the success of this range since its launch in 2005. Fitted with mechanical movements, the models in this collection offer many special features, which now includes a timepiece with an annual calendar – a guaranteed winner for those who appreciate exceptional watchmaking.

In 2005, Longines launched the line that would become its flagship: The Longines Master Collection. From the start, this collection has enjoyed an undeniable level of success propelling its status as the iconic representation of Longines watchmaking expertise. Over the years, The Longines Master Collection has been enhanced by new features, but has never lost sight of the timeless classical elegance that is emblematic of the brand, and that contributes to its global success. Longines now offers an annual calendar as part of its Master Collection, controlled by a new mechanical movement, exclusive to Longines.

The annual calendar automatically manages the varying lengths of the months. This allows the timepieces to distinguish between a month with 30 days and a month with 31 days, with no manual intervention required. The Longines Master Collection, is the first range from Longines to house this feature. A true bargain for those who value timepieces with an exceptional quality-price ratio.

Combining classical elegance with excellence, the models from The Longines Master Collection featuring an annual calendar contain the new automatic L897 caliber in a stainless-steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter. With 64 hours of power reserve and the annual calendar displayed at 3 o’clock, the movement can be viewed through the transparent case back. The rhodium plated or blued steel hands jump off the black or silver barleycorn or sunray blue dial. These elegant timepieces are complimented by a steel bracelet or black, brown or blue alligator watch strap, all fitted with a folding safety clasp.
