Diamond rings

The solitaire: surely the most legendary of all gems. A single, sparkling diamond, like an evening star in the night sky. Its radiance can be shown in isolation, and is most often to be seen on a woman’s delicate finger – no wonder, then, that the solitaire stands for the most important of all questions. We too are also constantly enchanted by rings (and indeed any other jewellery with a single stone) with solitaire gems, the cut being all-important as far as the shape and look are concerned. *written by Katharina Hingsammer & Vicky Heiler - The Daily Dose

At this point we should perhaps take a brief look at the terminology used to describe diamonds. The “brilliant” is the most classical, round cut, often seen on engagement rings. The “princess cut” is square, and is also a popular shape for rings that are associated with the “most important question”. Depending on the quality, the cut, the size and the clarity, the price will vary – sometimes without any upper limit.

If you are after a less expensive alternative which is just as beautiful and radiant, you are sure to find what you are looking for at Juwelier Wagner. In addition to the classic solitaire gems which are available in various sizes and styles, the Secrets Collection also contains “solitaire look” rings which consist of several smaller stones in a special setting. Only the trained eye will spot how the special effect has been created.

The absolute classic among solitaire rings is the delicate gold ring with a small solitaire stone – its radiance shining out to many a woman as she opens a little black box, perhaps causing a tear or two of joy to be shed … We find that the solitaire ring (in any form) can be regarded in the same way as the “little black dress”: every woman should have one, it should be timeless and elegant, and perfect for wearing on the very finest occasions.
